Choose Ploy when you want a conversation-led website build with workspace workflows around it. Choose Webflow when your team wants to design and manage content in a visual canvas, especially when an existing Webflow site and editorial process already work well.
Kings Landing works with both Ploy and Webflow. We publish this comparison as an independent agency, not as either platform's official representative. Our Ploy examples come from this website's implementation and tested CMS publication. Webflow feature descriptions below come from official documentation; this is not a controlled performance or cost benchmark between the two products.
Start with your team's working method
The useful question is not which tool has AI. Both describe AI-assisted website and content capabilities. Ask how your team wants to request a change, review the result, manage content, and maintain the website after delivery.
Ploy's site-builder documentation describes pages built with Astro, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, with Ploy's Agent handling implementation and a shared design system supplying brand rules. Ploy also has workspace integrations and repeatable Ploybooks for work around the website.
Webflow's CMS describes visual page design connected to structured content, draft previews, publishing controls, APIs, and integrations. Its AI page describes site building, design changes, copy, code generation, and SEO and AEO assistance. Webflow also documents connections to AI tools through its MCP server. Calling it a platform without AI would be inaccurate.
Compare the same buyer decisions
Scroll horizontally to compare Ploy and Webflow.
| Decision | Ploy | Webflow |
|---|---|---|
| How a change starts | Ask the Agent to build or edit; review the resulting page and implementation. | Design and edit in the visual canvas; AI can assist with site, content, and code work. |
| Repeated content | PloyDB tables can supply request-time pages. The implementation defines fields and publication rules. | CMS Collections supply content-driven templates, with visual editing and publishing controls. |
| Work outside the page | Connected services and Ploybooks let the Agent carry out scoped workspace work. | CMS APIs, marketplace apps, and AI-tool connections support work around the site. |
| Publication | Site-code publishing deploys the current site. CMS eligibility can be handled separately in the implemented route. | The platform documents site staging and separate publication of individual Collection items. |
| Account arrangement | Organization-level membership and billing. Use separate organizations where client access must be isolated. | Site plans apply to individual websites; Workspace plans address collaboration and staging. Check the chosen account and client setup. |
| Cost comparison | Include subscription, credit usage, agency work, external tools, and support. | Include the appropriate Site plan, any Workspace plan, AI usage or add-ons, agency work, and support. |

When Ploy fits
Consider Ploy when your team wants to describe a website change, have an Agent implement it, and keep related content or workspace tasks in the same working environment. It can be a fit for a marketing website with CMS-backed guides, case studies, and a defined content-release process.
Our own site is the concrete example. Its Ploy resource pages read structured records, enforce draft eligibility, and supply related links and discovery files from the published content. We checked the public draft-to-release transition rather than assuming a database connection proves publication works.
Read the own-site case study and the CMS publishing example. These establish website and editorial behavior, not an external CRM automation or a full application's implementation.
When Webflow fits
Consider Webflow when visual layout work and in-context content editing are central to the team. Its CMS supports content-driven templates, draft previews, and granular publication. If your team already knows that editing model, retaining it can avoid an unnecessary change to how people work.
Webflow is also a reasonable choice when a functioning Webflow website, content model, and agency relationship already satisfy the brief. The presence of another platform's Agent is not, by itself, a reason to migrate. Identify a concrete problem with the current website before deciding to rebuild it elsewhere.
The narrow tradeoff is important. A team prioritizing visual-canvas design and familiar Collection-item publishing may prefer Webflow's documented workflow. Ploy's conversation-led implementation is a different way of working, not proof that the visual approach is obsolete.
Compare the delivered system, not integration lists
For either platform, name what a connection must do. A service being available in a marketplace or to an Agent does not prove that a website visitor can use it, that it has write permission, or that the intended workflow handles failure.
Define the source and destination, account owner, supported operation, data fields, approval, and recovery behavior. Ask the agency to demonstrate the proposed action in the environment where it will actually run.
A marketing website, a content system, a workspace automation, and a visitor-facing application are different scopes. Our Ploy systems service explains that boundary. The human-controlled AI workflow guide provides general design checks, not proof that a specific integration has shipped on either platform.
Compare costs on the same basis
Pricing and packaging were reviewed on 9 October 2026. Ploy's official pricing lists base monthly prices of US$0 for Free, US$50 for Starter, and US$300 for Pro, with custom Enterprise pricing. Higher credit tiers and ongoing work can change the cost. The platform subscription does not include Kings Landing's agency delivery.
Webflow distinguishes an individual website's Site plan from a Workspace plan for collaboration and staging. Its AI documentation also identifies feature access, credit usage, and add-ons as plan-dependent. Use Webflow's current pricing and plan overview to price the actual combination you need. The required Site plan, Workspace features, usage, and add-ons must be priced together at the current checkout; a standalone base price would not cover every setup.
Do not compare a Ploy base subscription with a Webflow bill that includes different usage or add-ons, or compare either platform price with an agency project quote. Ask for the same pages, content work, CMS behavior, migration responsibility, testing, handoff, and ongoing support in both proposals.
The Ploy website-cost guide gives you a budgeting checklist. Neither platform's published feature list establishes that one will be cheaper or faster for your particular project.
Make the choice before committing to a rebuild
Give the agency your current website, the content editors, the changes that take too much work, and the connected action you need. Compare how each proposed delivery handles those jobs and what your team receives at handoff.
Kings Landing can discuss Ploy and Webflow according to the brief. If the current Webflow approach fits, we will not treat a Ploy rebuild as the automatic answer. If Ploy fits, our Ploy website service and agency hiring guide explain the work to agree.
Discuss your website with the requirements, rather than only a preferred platform name.
